Eric B. Cope
Lighting Design
ABOUT
Born and raised in Texas, I am currently the manager of lighting design at Freeman AV, leading a team of lighting project designers creating pre-production for roughly 350 shows nationwide per year, creating lighting for general sessions, trade show exhibits, and meeting rooms. Before entering the realm of corporate events, I was a theatrical lighting designer and educator teaching lighting and projection design at Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge. I also taught lighting design at The University of Texas @ El Paso and the University of Southern Indiana where I was resident lighting designer at New Harmony Theatre. While living in NYC I worked as a freelance lighting designer and assistant for many great designers such as Peggy Eisenhauer / Jules Fisher and David Korins.
